Why doesn't doubleQuake (JoeQuake) have a mouselook feature? doubleQuakeworld (FuhQuake) does?

That would be because joequake doesn't have a menu entry for it and I have yet to figure out how to keep it in the config file. Every time I manually add it to config.cfg it works on the next load and then takes it out of the config. What you do is simple type "+mlook" in the console. You have to do it each time you load, but that's just where we are, at the moment.

Fixed by placing autoexec.cfg, containing +mlook, in $quakedir$\joequake\.

Why does FuhQuake say it can't find s0.sav.bsp when I try to load a single-player game?

I don't know.
Hehehe...
Honestly, I have yet to get an answer about this. I've tried a bunch of different things to try and resolve the problem. It seems that zquake, which is what fuhquake is based on, loads them just fine. I tried replacing spprogs.dat with some different versions, but nothing seemed to work. Wait, fuhquake hasn't done that with a single easy level save, yet, but who wants to play on easy? For right now, you just have to stick with proquake. It's still very nice looking. It's just not quite as nice as fuhquake. If you do want the eyecandy, you can always use doublequake.
^O^

I've heard that this is a problem caused by a space in the path to fuhquake. Supposedly, it will be fixed in the next release.

Why can't I shoot anything or even see a weapon? It gives me an option of "[1] play" and "[9] leave" but when I hit 1 it just goes to another option of "[8] spectate".

If you are connected to a pro-x server, there must be at least two players before the game will begin. Until then, all you can do is run around.

Why can't I kill anyone or be killed in a multiplayer game? We just run around with full health, ammo, and weapons.

If you are connecting to a ktpro server, all players must type "ready" in the console to begin the match. Also, unless you're playing a team match, each player must have different team names.

Why doesn't FuhQuake save my keybindings, player name, and such?

Fuhquake doesn't automatically save config files, like quake did. When you have set things as you want, open the console and type "cfg_save xxxxx". For instance, I use "cfg_save doubleJ". That creates the file "doubleJ.cfg" within $quakedir$\fuhquake\configs\.

Why are other players solid colors instead of skinned?

Fuhquake uses "fullbright" skins for easy team identification. When in large battles between teams, this makes it very easy to distinguish between friend and foe. Granted, this doesn't help with free for all or coop play, though. To disable this feature, open the console and type "teamskins 0" and "enemyskins 0". You may also have to type "teamcolors 0" and "enemycolors 0". It all depends on the server. This can also be specified in your config file, if you use one.
