QuakeLite:

These are not the original install files, but a restructured, minimal set of files that will allow you to play the full game on any windows pc. It includes software, gl, and directx rendering. It includes a quakeworld client, but only with directx rendering, as the official quakeworld client only gives gl rendering to 3dfx cards, and breaks the preinstalled gl rendering, to boot. This also includes netquake so you can play over a lan and coop. If you just want to get on and game, but still look reasonably good, this is for you. It's much smaller than doubleQuake. Also, get this if you just need the original quake files (for playing joe/fuh/etc...). It has other things and it's only 1mb bigger than without.

doubleQuake:

This is my quake install. It gives you the eyecandy of fuhquake in both netquake and quakeworld play. It's the full game, great graphics, and a little bit of content censorship (I don't like looking at demons on the wall all day). It's quite large, but if you want pretty quake, this is definately a way to get it. This is a combination of joequake and fuhquake.

Please start the games using the shortcuts. As it's a combination of two different clients, I had to wiggle some stuff around to make it work, but it does work and work well. Also, if you would like to turn doublequake into doublejquake, you can download my conback.png and replace the ones in $quakedir$\fuhquake\gfx\ and $quakedir$\joequake\gfx\. If you want, you can also download my texture replacements without the actual game. This replaces the demon heads on the walls with nice stained glass.

Also, if you would prefer to download doublequake in parts, or if you already have parts like the .pak files, then you can do so. You put the id1 directory where ever you put the binaries. Then you put the graphics within $quakedir$\qw\.

Q3Plug:

This plugin allows you to see if any quakeworld games on my quakeworld server are in progress and also who's playing. The plugin alone will have to be placed appropriately depending upon your web browser. Also, you have to edit the registry if you're using internet explorer 6. The installer, on the other hand, will automatically do everything for you, but it will install the plugin for netscape communicator and opera, even if you don't have them installed. It will install for mozilla automatically, but not firefox.
